Yellow Fever Vaccination Requirements

Mozambican authorities now require all travelers entering Mozambique who have been to any of the 43 countries where Yellow Fever is known to exist to present a valid Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate.  If you cannot present a valid certificate on entry you may be vaccinated at your expense (approximately US$50 or the equivalent in meticais).

Consular Section Hours December 2007 and January 2008

The Consular section will be open during normal business hours in December 2007 and January 2008 except on the following occasions when the section will be closed to non-emergency services.

Tuesday December 25              Christmas Day / Family Day

Tuesday January 1                    New Year’s Day            

Monday January 21                  Martin Luther King’s Birthday

Please note the change in Consular Section hours:

Monday through Thursday 8:00 to 11:30 am & 2:00 to 4:00 pm; Friday 8:00 to 11:00 am.

Non-emergency American Citizen Services* hours:  Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9:00 to 11:00 am

*Non-emergency services include applications for passports, extra pages and consular reports of birth abroad, notarial services, registrations and requests for information.  Please schedule all visits for non-emergency services during these hours.  Please call the consular section at any time in the event of an emergency involving a U.S. citizen at 21 49 2797.
