Consular Section Hours September 2007

The Consular section will be open during normal business hours in September 2007 except on the following occasions when the section will be closed to non-emergency services.

Monday September 3                           Labor Day (U.S.)

Wednesday September 5*                    Consular Officer travel to Tete+ (open 7:30-9:30)

Thursday September 6*                        Consular Officer travel to Tete+

Friday September 7                              Lusaka Agreement Day

Thursday September 20*                      Consular Officer out

Monday September 24*                       Consular Travel to Cabo Delgado+

Tuesday September 25                         Revolution Day/Consular travel: Cabo Delgado+

For emergency services contact the Consular section at 21 49 2797.  After hours: 21 49 0723 or 82 310 7190.

*These changes affect only the Consular section and not other offices in the U.S. Mission.

+ If you are in Tete or Cabo Delgado province and need certain consular services, please contact the Consular section in advance of the scheduled visit.

The Consular section is open Monday to Thursday 7:30 to 4:00 (closed 12:00 to 1:00) and Fridays 7:30 to 11:00.  Visa interviews are normally conducted on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, it is advisable to plan non-emergency visits to the Consular section at other times.
